about us
(continued)
Bootle Elim Church is based in the ward known as 'Linacre Ward' which is a small area of the local
authority district of
Sefton. Linacre Ward is described as one of the most deprived areas in the United Kingdom,
with 56% of the working
population unemployed. At the turn of the century, the average income per household was
£9000 per year, the lowest in the country. These statistics play a big part in the way
the Church programme tries to provide care for the local community and local body of
believers.
We as a church also play a part of the overall Elim Church in Merseyside and the overall Church,
made up of many denominations on Merseyside and throughout the year we support and join
many Christians at different events.
The Elim Pentecostal Church is an Evangelical movement, led by a National Leadership Team of
ordained ministers, all of who are senior men of high repute and Godliness.
So high is the standard of the Elim Movement, that even after graduating in their bible
college, ministers are not ordained until they have
proved themselves worthy of ordination by completing three years probation.
In 2006 Bootle Elim Church introduced a five year plan, showing ten areas of development in
Leadership, Prayer, Building, Church Growth, Finance, Equipping People, Community Involvement,
Worship, Children and Youth.
