History

Elim Bootle Pentecostal Church was established in 1977 from a tent mission off Southport Road Bootle by Pastor Alex Tee.

The Church rented a hall at the Welsh Church on Stanley Road Bootle after the tent mission from 1977 to the early nineties, when they moved to another rented hall at St Matthews Church of England, which faces North Park on Stanley Road Bootle.

In 1997, the Church moved and purchased the old HSBC Bank building on the corner of Knowsley Road and Stanley Road. The very first meeting in the old bank was held on Saturday the 13th December 1997. By November 2004 the building had been fully paid for.

By 2009 Elim Bootle had outgrown the old bank for the Sunday morning meeting and began to rent Goddard Hall on Stanley Road Bootle, while looking for a bigger building.

In January 2014 an agreement was made that Elim Bootle would move into St Andrews Memorial Hall off Stanley Road Bootle. After some renovation work, the first meeting was held on Saturday 28th June 2014.

In 2017 Elim Bootle purchased St Andrews Memorial Hall. The building on the corner of Knowsley Road and Stanley Road now host our Offices and Youth Work.

The Elim Bootle Pentecostal Church is a growing Church in the heart of Bootle including people of all ages, from different backgrounds and different nationalities.
